The Norristown Area School District operates and supports over 30 different venues throughout the district's secondary schools in order to allow our student-athletes to compete in a safe and positive setting.

Norristown Area High School Athletic Complex

The Athletic Complex is a modern facility which has an 8 lane all-weather track, pole vault, high jump, long and triple jump pits located in the D areas.  An A-turf field was installed in the facility to allow for year-round play under less than desirable climatic conditions.  A home side grandstand allows a perfect vantage point to see anything in the Athletic Complex.  Sitting atop the home grandstand is the Bobby Cain Memorial Pressbox, a fully functioning, multi-media friendly pressbox, which has 2 side observation decks, a second tier observation deck and houses the NAHS Athletic Complex’s sound and scoring systems.  The Field Hockey, Football, Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Lacrosse and Boys and Girls Track & Field teams call the NAHS Athletic Complex home.

 

 

 

      

 

 

Norristown Area High School Gymnasium

The Norristown Area High School Gymnasium, is the centerpiece of the Norristown Area High School Athletic Building.  The facility is home to the Boys and Girls Basketball teams, Wrestling and Girls Volleyball team.  Throughout the years, the 2,500 seat capacity venue has hosted PIAA State Basketball games, the District One Regional Wrestling Tournament, the Triangle Club Holiday Basketball Tournament (the oldest in Montgomery County) and league playoffs.

    

 

Norristown Area High School Pool

The pool at Norristown High School is home to the school’s Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving teams.  It features a fully automated scoreboard for each lane.  The metric pool also features 2 fully functional diving wells.  The natatorium can seat up to 200 people in the observation deck at the south end of the pool.  The unique feature of the pool is the “T” shape which allows for more freedom during training sessions.

   

 

Baseball Fields

The High School Baseball programs practice and play on 2 fields located in the back of the Norristown Area High School campus.  Both feature fully functioning scoreboards, share commodities such as bullpens and batting cages, and also are one of the few schools in the area to boast all dirt infields, allowing for more consistent play. 

 

  

Softball Fields

The High School Varsity Softball program plays on the Softball field located on Whitehall Road.  The field boasts a fully functioning scoreboard and sound system.    Also this year there will be an outfield fence installed, to allow for more predictable play in the outfield.  The Junior Varsity Softball team plays in the back of the Norristown Area High School on the secondary Softball Field.

Weight Room & Fitness Center

The Norristown Area High School Weight Room & Fitness Center is located on the lower level of the Athletic Building.  The free weight area was renovated this past summer, maximizing on space and functionality.  Eight wall mounted rigs were installed, over 1000 pounds of various bumper plates, kettle bells, and medicine balls were all purchased to help in the improvement of Eagle student-athletes.

  

 

The Tennis Courts at Stoney Creek

Along the scenic and tranquil Stony Creek you will find the 8 court tennis facility that is home to the Boys and Girls Tennis teams.
